delivers a picture that's even sharper and smoother than
1080i, especially for movies. The hottest titles are now
available in 1080p on DIRECTV on DEMAND.

What
You Need:
- A
high-definition TV capable of displaying the 1080p
resolution format
If you already have a DIRECTV system in place, you can
check to see if your TV is 1080p-capable by clicking on
Menu on your remote. Select Parental Fav's and Setup and
hit System Setup. Choose HDTV and use the arrows to
highlight the TV Resolutions tab. You'll see the HD
formats your TV supports.
- A
DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver
Check the model number of your receiver by opening the
little door located on the bottom right corner of the
front panel. You must have either the HR20, HR21, HR22,
HR23 or HR24 model.
- An
HDMI cable to connect the receiver and TV
Your TV must be connected to your receiver with an HDMI
cable. Professional installation of the DIRECTV Plus®
HD DVR receiver normally includes this HDMI connection.
